Rosewater festival (Golab giri) in Kashan is one of the most famous and common traditions among Iranians, which started in Fars province in the past, and nowadays a significant part of it is done in Kashan and its surrounding areas. This traditional ritual has a special atmosphere due to being in the spring season and also the blossoming of flowers in the fields of Kashan.

The people of Kashan and its surrounding cities perform the rose water ceremony with special rituals and thanksgiving. Rose oil extraction in Kashan is a significant part of the economic prosperity in this region and many workers are employed in this industry seasonally. Currently, with the efforts of the people of Kashan, the rose water industry of this city has become a phenomenon to attract foreign and domestic tourists, along with the sights of Kashan, and many travelers and tourists visit Kashan and its surrounding towns and villages during the spring season.

WHAT YOU WILL DO?

Visiting the Rose Gardens in Qamsar

At 7:00 a.m. you will depart from Tehran, on the way we will have breakfast at a restaurant. At 10:30 a.m. arrival in Qamsar and visiting the flower gardens and the rose ceremony (free time to have lunch in Qamsar or to have lunch in a restaurant in Kashan).

Visiting Kashan

Then we will move to Kashan and have a visit to the historic Fin Garden and it’s Hammam. Then we will visit one of the historic houses which is located in Sultan Amir Ahmad neighborhood. At around 18:00 we will drive back to Tehran.

Starting location will be from Tehran

Note: The period to visit the Rose Harvesting & Rosewater Festival of Kashan is from 1st of May till Mid-June.
